Make sure that the width of your fabric is at least 2x the height of your desired sweater’s waistband. For this project, we used a piece of fabric that was 57 inches wide by 27 inches tall.Next, fold the rectangle in half so that the long side is now open. SEW THE LONG SIDE OF THE FABRIC TOGETHER END TO END. DO NOT SEW THE BOTTOM OR EDGES OF THE FABRIC.Now, take the shorter side of the rectangle and fold it over so that it matches up with the top of the long side.
